デザイン・仕様について ---マンソンとUSネイビーのコンビネーションラストを使い、ダイレクトウエルト製法でシャープに仕上げたブーツ、GRIFFIN 8.5 をベースに、靴紐で締めてフィットさせる代わりに、伸縮性を持つコードを巻きつける方法でクイックにフィットを得られるタイプです。コードにはヨットで使われる高い耐久性を持つネイビーブルーのゴム紐を仕様。ベースの GRIFFIN 8.5 とは異なり、先芯を使わないフラットボックス仕様としています。
レザーについて ---イタリア、トスカーナのタンナー、コンチェリア800（オットチェント）社で、植物タンニンなめしでしっかりと目を詰めてつくられた革です。銀面をバフで擦ってオイルを含ませることでしっとりした風合いに仕上がっています。

Design --- The base model GRIFFIN 8.5 is a shar looking boots with the Munson-US Navy combination last and Direct Welt construction. GRIFFIN LOOP 8.5 is a cord-fastening type of the original GRIFFIN, without any shoelaces. The elastic cord is the one used for sailboat and is highly durable. It is in blue to make good contrast with black leather. The toe of this boots does not have stiff box-toe, i.e.: flat box style.
Leather --- The leather is vege-tanned by a reputable Italian tannery Conceria 800. This leather, which has tight structure, is buffed on its grain and then oiled. These processes gave nicely waxy tough to the leather.
