WHALE のような縫い合わせのないホールカットの靴は、外観のシンプルさとは裏腹に、難易度の高い職人泣かせのデザインです。革の裁断において、木型の上でのつり込みにおいて、作業効率を犠牲にしてでも細心の注意を以って作業を進めなければなりません。WHALEの、素材の革が持つ個性が引き立つ、流れるような美しい姿はそうした職人達の努力によってこそ、つくられるものです。
今シーズンは、定番のオイルブラック（茶芯 – ホーウィンCXL) を継続します。

Wholecut shoe like WHALE looks clean but its making is not simple. Shoemakers need to take, making sure to cut proper part of the leather, pull down the upper evenly on the last. It takes more time than usual, scarifying some productivity but is is for quality. The beauty of streamline, highlighting the beauty of material leather is made on this sacrifice. This is how WHALE comes to look stunning.
