2025年、TOKYOSANDALはさらなる進化を目指し、大きな改革に取り組んでいます。

今年は履き心地・歩き心地の両面で理想を追求した結果、ラインナップをあえて2型に絞り込みました。

選ばれたのは、最もシンプルでごまかしの効かない「オープン温泉タイプ」と、実用性に優れた「クローズドスリッポンタイプ」。

どちらもTOKYOSANDALの哲学を象徴する、基本となるデザインです。

アッパーは従来の木型と天板の立体的なカーブに沿うように設計され、美しいラインを描いています。
そこに施されているのが、独自のクロスステッチ。

このステッチの内側には3mm厚の伸びにくいテープが縫い込まれており、ミシンで丁寧に固定されています。 このテープの役割は履き込んだ先に発揮されます。レザーサンダルは馴染むことで快適になりますが、同時に革が必要以上に伸びてしまうこともあります。
その伸びを適切に抑え、フィット感が保たれるように、あえて「馴染ませたい部分」と「過度に馴染ませたくないライン」とを区別する設計としています。

TOKYOSANDALは、「修理ができるレザーサンダル」を掲げるブランドとして、理想的なエイジング(経年変化)と長く愛用していただける履き物を目指しています。

この2型には、その想いと技術のすべてが凝縮されています。

In 2025, TOKYO SANDAL is taking a bold step forward in its ongoing evolution, implementing significant reforms to further elevate both design and function.

This year, in pursuit of ideal comfort and wearability, we have intentionally narrowed the lineup down to just two models.

The selected styles are the minimalist, no-frills “Open Onsen Type” and the highly practical “Closed Slip-On Type.”
Both represent the core philosophy of TOKYO SANDAL — fundamental, timeless designs.

The uppers are crafted to follow the three-dimensional curves of our original lasts and footbeds, forming elegant lines.
One standout feature is the unique cross-stitching technique. Beneath the stitch lines lies a 3mm-thick non-stretch tape, carefully sewn in by machine. This tape plays a crucial role over time — while leather sandals become more comfortable as they break in, they can also stretch excessively.
By clearly distinguishing between areas meant to soften and those meant to retain their shape, this design ensures long-term fit and comfort.
